End of May

Hello All,

So proudly announcing the completion of the grade 4 Public Speaking event!

Over 150 minutes of speech time the kids spoke in front of their classmates and several teachers, including Morah Sigal, Corrine, Dina, Mrs Beswick and Mr. Washerstein. To get kids up and out of their seats for a interlude we had a visit by Annie the Goat and we got to run around outside. As an assessment each student had two separate teachers marking a rubric and another timing the speech. Check your student’s blogs for their reflection and a photo of their speech. Rubrics going home today.

Yesterday we were invited to watch and listen to the Middle School’s public speaking finalists. I think the grade 4s gained more insight on what lies ahead for their middle school speeches.

Math continues with measuring angles with protractors and in science we are hands-on with exploring the three types or rocks.
