We Blinked – October is Over

Hello All,

If you have noticed, the rains came and now Ottawa can start getting its snow.

Today we started the CAT 4 testing and will continue next week and end on Nov 10th.

Science test results went home today and please ask your student how it went as it was our first in grade 4 general studies.

We have completed the SMART Goals and we can’t wait to share with you either at conferences or at home in the near future.

In ELA we have completed several reading exercises and a See, Think, Wonder exercise that had a baseball themed picture.

We will be collecting items for our Wild Robot / Habitat diorama project. Looking for old small animal figurines that align with the novel.

Example of animals and size

Social Studies – we have completed their food maps of Canada and are now working in pairs on researching the physical regions that provide so much for us here in Canada. Map Test Wed Nov 5th!

Next Thursday grade 4 will be part of a workshop.
Quinn, the school social worker, will be running a workshop on kindness and friendship to help strengthen the learning environment in the classroom. If you wish to opt your child out of the workshop please let us know before Nov 6th as this is when our workshop will take place.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions!
Quinn
