Yulia Elgin

Shalom! I’m Yulia Elgin, and I’m proud to be a Grade 4 Hebrew and Jewish Studies Teacher. With a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Israel, I have a strong foundation in pedagogy that I bring to my role.

My passion for teaching Hebrew has taken me from the classrooms of Israel to the Hebrew School in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and love for the language and Jewish culture with my students.

Outside the classroom, I have a few passions of my own. I’m an avid puzzle enthusiast, finding joy in the challenge of solving complex puzzles. Dancing is another love of mine; I find it to be a wonderful expression of creativity and joy. Currently, I’m expanding my horizons by taking theater classes, exploring new avenues of self-expression and storytelling.

As an educator, I believe in the power of knowledge and the importance of nurturing curiosity in young minds. I’m dedicated to creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment where my students can thrive and develop a deep appreciation for Hebrew and their Jewish heritage.

Thank you, todah rabah,
Yulia Elgin
