English Homework Nov. 6-13
The students will be coming home with their green duo-tangs today with a poem to practice and a few math sheets that focus on subtraction with regrouping. 4A and 4B will be reciting the poem at our Rembrance Day Assembly. The students have done a great job of reciting the poem at school and I know they will do a wonderful job reading the poem at our assembly. We have spent time examining the new vocabulary and discussing what the poem really means. We are dreaming of this peaceful world to honour all the soldiers who fought for our freedom. Our classes plan to make this world a more peaceful world. If one person can make a difference, just imagine what 22 amazing children can do.
I Dream A World
I dream a world where man
No other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth
And peace its path adorn
I dream a world where all
Will know sweet freedom’s way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day.
A world I dream where black or white,
Whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head
And joy, like a pearl,
Attends the needs of all mankind
